A bronze Medusa idol from the sanctuary of Zeus from 600-500 BC, has her standing on a single foot, while her upper body resembles a mushroom with wings up like we say with Isis previously (45b). A relief from the Temple of Artemis, in Corfu Greece, c. 580 BC, has her down on one knee, in a classic single-footed pose (45a), similar to how she is depicted on a ceramic plate from Kos, c. 600 BC (45e).

She may be depicted decapitated, and just a mushroom shaped body as we see on an amphora c. 800-300 BC (45f). Sometimes she’s depicted with a fish tail, like Scylla or Melusine, as shown on a plate from 550 BC (45c).

A limestone Sarcophagus from 475-460 BC, shows Perseus walking away with Medusa’s head on a pole and the imagery depicts a mushroom (45d). A vase from 540 BC, depicts Zeus holding a thunderbolt aiming it at Medusa, but the image is described as Zeus fighting Typhon (45g), similar to a Corinthian alabastron with Typhon, c. 600-575 BC (45h). This last piece (45h) looks very similar to the goddess and god Nua Gua and Fu Xi, painted on a vase unearthed in Xinjiang, China (45i).

Chrysaor, the brother of Pegasus (both born from the blood of Medusa’s head), is first pictured on an early 6th century BC Doric Temple of Artemis at Corfu, where he is shown beside his mother, Medusa. (238)
