What appears to be a bathing area at the Palace at Zakros, called the “Hall of the Cistern,” has an entranceway shaped like the stem of a mushroom, leading into an open circular area which could be said to be the cap (60d). Both the entrances to the Church of Goreme in Cappadocia Turkey, and the Thracian Temple of Starosel, Hissarya have mushroom shaped entrances (60e, f). |
