Let’s pause for a moment, from 1953 to 1959, Puharich was studying and working with telepathy, and nerve and bone work related to pain and shock while also working with biochemical aids (drugs) and writing books on mushrooms, a whole decade before Gordon Wasson had written Soma, but just two years after Wasson’s book on Mushrooms and Russia. Where was Puharich working at the time? “During the year 1958-59 served on a full-time basis as the Chief, Emergency Service, United States Army Hospital, Fort Ord, California. Throughout the period from 1958 to 1961 owned and operated a private research laboratory in Carmel Valley, California.” 1958 to May 1961 * United States Army Hospital, Laboratory Science, Fort Ord California, as consultant in mushroom technology. * Belk Research Foundation, Miami, Florida, as consultant on communications research. * Mind Science Foundation, San Antonio, Texas, as Consulting Director of Research, pro tem. * Consciousness Research Foundation, San Pedro, California, as consultant in psychotherapeutic drug research program. * California Parapsychology Foundation, San Diego, California, as consultant in parapsychology research programs. * Occasional consultant to: Institute of Extended Studies, Los Angeles, California; Design, Research & Development Corporation, Monterey, California; University of-Washington Pharmacology Department, Seattle Washington; United States Army Chemical Corps, Army Chemical Center, Maryland; Columbia Broadcasting System TV, Los Angeles, California; Riker Laboratories, Northridge, California, etc. So, we find out he worked at the United States Army Hospital, Laboratory Science, Fort Ord California, as consultant in mushroom technology and he was actually an “occasional consultant” to the Army Chemical Corps in Maryland. That’s very interesting, isn’t it? Now, when exactly was the date that the MK-Ultra program was officially started? From Wiki we learn: “The operation was officially sanctioned in 1953, was reduced in scope in 1964, further curtailed in 1967, and recorded to be halted in 1973.” … “Project MK-Ultra was first brought to public attention in 1975 by the Church Committee of the United States Congress and Gerald Ford's United States President's Commission on CIA activities within the United States. Investigative efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MK-Ultra files to be destroyed in 1973.” (55) Let’s continue to review more of Puharich’s work, briefly, then we’ll move on. Continuing from his personal resume: |
* Electrical Field Effects on Humans. Guest Speaker Annual Meeting of Institute of Radio Engineers, San Francisco Section. Berkeley, California. June 14, 1960. * Electrical Field Reinforcement of ESP. International Journal of Neuropsychiatry, Vol. 2, No. 5, pp. 474-486, October 1966. * Bioelectrically Stimulated hearing with Signal Feedback. Canada Patent No. 751001. January 17, 1967. * Transdermal Electrostimulation of Hearing. (56) Presented at Thirteenth Annual Scientific Meeting October 11, 1969, Committee for Research in otolaryngology, Thorne Hall, Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. * Method and Apparatus For Improving Neural Performance In Human Subjects By Electrotherapy. U.S'. Patent No. 3,563,246, Feb.16, 1971. (57) Puharich can also be connected in ways to the work of Nikola Tesla and electromagnetic energy used to create earthquakes and all sorts of weather control. It is understood that he investigated and reported on the phenomenon. Ultimately, I gather that while Puharich was working for the CIA’s MK-Ultra program he was secretly, under the guise of medical science and ESP, developing a method to place thoughts into the brains of people using some remote technique to simulate ESP while claiming to be studying ESP. Puharich’s patents for electrostimulation of the skin to induce “hearing” as well as work with electromagnetic frequencies, and the use of drugs such as mushrooms, reminds me of a scene from the Island of Dr. Moreau. It appears that originally the idea was to use surgical implanted electrodes but there were too many complications with that method. So, what was the whole purpose of all this and why am I writing about it so extensively? Well, this leads us soon to our next area of bewilderment, the Modern Flying Saucer. Were forces secretly developing a flying saucer-like aerial vehicle which could mimic the UFO and could therefore be used to “transmit” messages to the minds of the contactees? We have seen how the MK-Ultra project was using people like Uri Geller for public mind control, in relation to extraterrestrials and outer space influences.
